More than a pitch stage, the Championship gives early-stage founders—from seed to Series A—expert mentorship, investor access, and global visibility to prove their impact and accelerate growth.

Competition Information
The Agri-Food Tech World Championship will be held from 4 – 5 November 2025 in Singapore at AFTEA 2025, Sands Expo & Convention Centre.

Call for applications: 11 September to 10 October 2025, 23:59 [GMT+8]
Registration is online and your application should include the following:
Pitch deck in English in PDF format with up to 10 slides. The deck should cover key aspects such as your start-up’s problem statement, solution, market opportunity, business model, traction, team, and financial projections, emphasising your product or solution’s impact on agri-food or agri-tech.
A video presentation link of 2 - 5 minutes explaining your start-up’s concept, market potential, and business model, with a focus on agri-food or agri-tech solutions.
Screening: From 11 October 2025
All applications will be reviewed to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and application requirements. Start-ups will be evaluated based on the strengths of their applications, including the innovation of the idea, market potential, and team capabilities, particularly in the agri-food and agri-tech sectors.
Selected start-ups will be notified from 18 October 2025.
45 teams will progress to the Semi Finals, which will be held at AFTEA 2025 on 4 November 2025.
Competition stages: 4 – 5 November 2025
Semi Finals – 4 November 2025
- 45 teams will pitch to a panel of judges. There will be 4 rounds of pitching with 10-11 teams pitching in each round.
- Each team will be allotted a maximum of 5 minutes. This includes 3 minutes to pitch and 1 minute of Q&A.
- The top teams from each round, up to a total of 5 teams, will progress to the Finals stage.
Finals – 5 November 2025
- 5 teams from Semi Finals, including another 5 teams from Innovate 360-led regional selections will compete and pitch to a panel of judges.
- Each team will be allotted a total of 8 minutes. This includes 5 minutes to pitch and 2 minutes of Q&A.
- The top team will be crowned Grand Champion.
There is no cost to participate in the Competition. However, start-ups shortlisted for the Semi Finals in Singapore held during AFTEA 2025 will have to bear their own travel and accommodation costs, if applicable. Additionally, shortlisted start-ups are required to book a booth in AFTEA 2025.
Participants may choose to enter as an individual (sole founder) or as a team. Judges will evaluate entries based on:
